County government here is about as local as you can get. Governance works best when citizens and elected officials recognize that they are in it together. This blog is intended as an invitation to engage more deeply than we seem normally inclined to -- to stop with the insults and name-calling and move on to listening to each other, making sure we're working from the fullest story possible, and offering what we individually can to insure Island County is a place we can be proud to live in and pass on.
